LineItUp ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application, website, and services (the "Platform").

By using the Platform, you consent to the data practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

A. Information You Provide Directly:

  • Account Data:  Name, email address, phone number, profile picture, and password when you register.
  • User Data: Delivery addresses, saved payment methods, order history, preferences, and communications with support.
  • Rider Data: Government-issued ID, driver's license, vehicle information, insurance details (for verification), and bank account information (for payment processing).
  • Vendor Data:Business name, address, tax ID, product listings, inventory data, and staff Sub-Account information.
  • Content:Any photos, ratings, reviews, or messages you submit.

B. Information Collected Automatically:

  • Device Information: Hardware model, operating system, IP address, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information.
  • Usage Data: Pages viewed, features used, time and duration of activity, and search queries.
  • Location Data (CRITICAL FOR PLATFORM FUNCTION):Precise, real-time GPS location from your mobile device is essential for the Platform to function, including for store discovery, Rider assignment, delivery tracking, and route optimization. We collect this information while the app is actively in use (foreground and background for Riders during deliveries). You can disable location sharing via your device settings, but this will prevent core functions of the Platform from working.

Information from Third Parties: We may receive information about you from payment processors, identity verification services, or, if applicable, social media platforms if you choose to link your account.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Platform.
  • Process transactions and send related information (confirmations, invoices, receipts).
  • Facilitate communication between Users, Riders, and Vendors (e.g., sharing your delivery location with a Rider, your order status with a User).
  • Verify Rider and Vendor identities and ensure safety and compliance.
  • Calculate and disburse Rider earnings.
  • Provide Vendors with analytics and performance reports.
  • Send administrative messages, security alerts, and support communications.
  • Send promotional communications, from which you can opt-out.
  • Protect against, investigate, and deter fraudulent, unauthorized, or illegal activity.

3. Legal Basis for Processing (For EEA/UK Users)

If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, we process your personal data based on:

  • Performance of a Contract: To provide the services you requested.
  • Legitimate Interests: For security, fraud prevention, and platform improvement.
  • Consent: For marketing communications where required by law. You can withdraw consent at any time.
  • Legal Obligation: To comply with applicable laws.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Between Platform Participants: To complete an Order, we share necessary information (e.g., User delivery address and phone with the assigned Rider; Vendor order details with the Rider).
  • With Service Providers: We use trusted third parties for payment processing, cloud hosting (AWS/GCP), SMS/email delivery, mapping (GPS services), and analytics. They are contractually bound to protect your data.
  • For Legal Reasons: To comply with laws, respond to legal requests, protect rights and safety, or investigate fraud.
  • Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, sale, or acquisition of all or part of our business.

5. Data Security

We implement robust technical and organizational measures to protect your data, as outlined in our technical proposal, including:

  • Encryption: SSL/TLS for data in transit; AES-256 for data at rest.
  • Access Control: Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) for our Admin systems.
  • Security Protocols: Regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and monitoring.

6. Your Data Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access, Correct, or Delete: your personal data.
  • Restrict or Object: to certain processing.
  • Data Portability.
  • Withdraw Consent: where processing is based on consent.
  • Opt-out of Marketing Communications: by using the "unsubscribe" link.

7. International Data Transfers

Our Platform is operated from the United States. If you are located outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S., under safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

We retain your information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. For example, transaction data is retained for tax and accounting purposes.

9. Children's Privacy

The Platform is not intended for individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware of such collection, we will delete it.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy on the Platform and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use constitutes acceptance.
